LONTONG SAYUR

Lontong Sayur is one of vegetarian  dishes that I love. Usually, in my country  we ate it with beef curry (rendang) or semur and served with cube rice (lontong).
How to make this yummee vegetarian curry? Check this out ...

What you need:
  • Labu siam  (in Asian store here,  the name is Chayote)
  • Tahu (tofu)
  • Udang (shrimp)

INGREDIENTS:
  • Kemiri (candle nut)
  • Lombok merah (red pepper)
  • Bawang merah (shallot)
  • Bawang putih (garlic)
  • Terasi (shrimp paste)
  • Ketumbar (coriander)
  • Kunyit (turmeric)
  • Santan (coconut milk)
  • Laos (galangal)
  • Daun salam (bay leaf)
  • Salt and sugar.

How to make it
  • Haluskan semua bumbu kecuali Laos dan Daun salam (grounds all the ingredients to be a paste, except galangal and bay leaf)
  • Tumis udang dan semua bumbu sampe harum (saute shrimp and all the ingredients until smell fragrant)
  • Masukkan santan dan aduk sampe rata (Pour the coconut milk, mixed it well).
 That's it. It's very easy, isn't it?

Note:
  • I am using salt and sugar to balance the taste since I am not using MSG (mono sodium glutamate) for all my cooking.
  • If you allergic with shrimp,  you can substitute with beef broth to make it tastier, if you vegetarian, you know what to do! hehehe
